God Is doing a new thing.......

"Behold, I am doing a new thing"! -Is.43:19

Just wanted to take time to brag on God and tell a little about what He is doing in my life to help change the lives of others. For the past few months I have been praying about some things in my life. Praying that God would open doors, reveal things, bring people, show me signs and whatever else my little mind could think of. AND HE CERTAINLY HAS DONE JUST THAT! I am in awe of His faithfulness, and at times when I am, it makes me quickly question my faith in Him. "When I ask God for things and become surprised when he answers......why I am I surprised? I mean, I did ask Him for it.....right? Or is it because I am just amazed that God himself would stop whatever else he is doing to tend to my needs? I don't know & I can't explain. But I do know that God does answer prayers. He may not answer them the very same day we make our request known, He may not answer it the way we think he should, and sometimes he may even answer them with a very direct "NO", but he DOES answer! God tells us in his word to "ask, and receive" and then he tells us to "wait". Waiting has to be the hardest part of it, but it is something that he tells us to do. We must become dependent on the Lord like we are dependent on other things. The things that we tend to turn to first and then when that fails we turn to God. Sad but true....I am ashamed to say that I have done that on numerous occasions, but thank God He sees past my mistakes and faults and meet me where I am. I am just so thankful that the God that I serve is LOVING, PATIENT, KIND & FAITHFUL. I am thankful to know that He has my best interest at heart, and he knows exactly what I need.

If there is something that you have been praying about in your life, whether it be for that loved one who just seems to 'not get it!' HOLD ON! Someone may be praying for a financial breakthrough? HOLD ON! You may have been praying the same prayer as me and just seeking God's provision and guidance on a certain situation in your life. Or maybe praying that God will open the door to something that you have a desire to advance His Kingdom? H O L D- O N!! God is faithful and he longs to answer the prayers of His people, his chosen people. People who love him, obey him and depend on him. Romans 8: 28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose....."
