Haiti Mission:2012

it is so hard to believe that we will be en route to Haiti in just 2 days! I am super excited about the experience, a little nervous about the "getting there" I'll  have to admit.....fear of heights mixed with severe motion sickness is just what I need, right? NO! But in my weakness, He's strength is made perfect. I have gotten all the laundry done, the kids clothes out, labeled by day of the week and ready to hang. I have to finish up a little packing and I will be done! Perry is more than ready he is such a great Father and Husband -he just makes me so proud of Him and I just love him so MUCH. I know that God is going to take care of them while I am away so I am totally focused on the task at hand. Our mission is to reach out to 2 schools and about 500 children. Provide them with school supplies and clothing. We will alsobe able to present the gospel and spend time ministering to the children. A medical mission team from MS will also be there and we will try to assist them in any way we can. We will be leaving the Lighthouse Foundation Monday morning at 2am and we will be well on our way. A very looooooong travel, but I am so ready -and the group of people that will be going makes it even more exciting. Lets see:: Me, Markenna Duff, Lisa&Gary Caveness, Phil&Vicki Little, Barbie Hieght, Lauren Little, and Herbie Rogers....just to name a few. What a awesome group of people and I am so glad that I have been chosen, by God to take this journey as well. So as we travel, please keep us and our families, that we will be leaving at home in your prayers. I appreciate all the kind words and the "safe trip" messages and I can't wait to get back and share with everyone exactly what God has done in the lives of the Haitians in ours....He is so amazing and deserves all of the glory. We tend to want to step out in front of God and do things on our own when we "feel" like He isn't doing what we have asked, but we are to play the background. Allow God to be God and totally trust him in EVERY AREA IN OUR LIVES, NOT JUST WHAT WE WANT TO GIVE HIM. He has amazing plans for our lives, if only we would give our lives to him. Why doubt the God of the universe, the Creator of us all? Hasn't he shown himself faithful? He longs to do amazing things with and through us......try Him and see. Be Blessed.
